I'm sipping on some Fireside Reads currently, preparing to test a bunch of herbal blends this afternoon. The perfect way to celebrate! It's raining outside, which is primo tea weather, especially for Fireside with its cozy apple cinnamon vibes 🍎 there are a few bags of Fireside Reads left in the shop and I probably won't restock it again before releasing the spring menu. Happy Monday, Sweeteas! What's one thing you're going to do this week to take care of yourself?

I'm on a kick of getting things done lately and it feels soooooo good. The weather has been mild so I've been walking the dog more. The creative juices are flowing, leading to a long list of blend ideas. I've been chatting with fellow small business owners about strategies and resources, which has been inspiring to say the least. And I've adopted a new habit of spending my first hour-ish in the morning to slowly waking up with a cuppa tea and a book. That honestly has been SO GOOD. Starting my morning peacefully instead of in a rush has made a huge difference. I was enjoying some Nutcracker Prince today, which is basically a black tea blend with spices and hazelnut melding together, with pops of chocolate to round it out.

I'm beginning to test spring blends and I am FOCUSED on making a blend for Bridgerton! (Thank you, Keisha, for telling me it's worth watching!) Is anyone else officially obsessed? I'm number 70-something on the waitlist for the first book at the library but at the rate of season releases lately something tells me I'll get a few books in the series before season 2 debuts 🤷 which I'm fine with. Just means I get to spend more time with that delicious duke 😏

Do you set New Year's resolutions for yourself? Or do One Little Word? I would love to hear your intentions for the new year! I do my intention setting in August (I have always felt more natural living on the academic year system because I am a nerd 🤓). My word for the year is engage. I am focusing on being more present in what I'm doing and engaging myself fully in the moment. Whether it's a conversation on here or going for a walk or writing a paper for school, I want to be all in so I can get the most out of whatever I'm doing.

I have been waiting FOREVER for The Hidden Palace to be published (the second in The Golem and The Jinni series) and I'm hoping that the game Paralives (a spin on The Sims) will come out next year. I would also appreciate if the next seasons of Derry Girls and Sex Education dropped in 2021 🙏 lots of good things to look forward to!
