Happy new year, Sweeteas! What's something you're looking forward to this year? Do you have any resolutions you're excited about? A word for the year that you're feeling good about focusing on?

If you've seen my stories over the past week you know I've been pumped to hunker down on what it is I want in 2022 for myself personally and professionally. I'm so excited provide loyalty points and book club for you Sweeteas! 😄 Both of which will be coming very soon! I'm hoping to get loyalty points set up before or shortly after reopening (I'll be sending out a newsletter in a couple days announcing when the shop reopens, be sure you're subscribed!). As for book club... I've taken several videos and now I need to edit. This first video will be all sorts of awful 🤣 which is great! Knowing where I'm starting and where I'm aiming is going to help me progress. I can't wait to see how my video skills grow over the new year! (Psst, in case you missed the memo, I'm starting a YouTube channel for Call Me Sweetea this year 😉)

Here's to meeting our resolutions and truly blossoming into all that we are and all that we want to be 🌼💛 (Blossom is my word for 2022!)

Tell me about your favorite holiday memory. I can see the light at the end of the holiday market tunnel and I am ready to start celebrating in a non-business fashion! Starting with baking ALL the cookies! My favorite holiday memories inevitably involve hanging out under the lit up Christmas tree with a pile of books on one side and a plate full of homemade cookies on the other (thank goodness my mom is a bibliophile cookie fiend too! I can't imagine being raised any other way 🤣).

Remember to value your loved ones and to set aside time to truly BE with each other this holiday season. Giving gifts is all well and good but LOVE is the most valuable gift we can give anyone 💛
Furthermore, remember to value YOURSELF this season as well. Set boundaries where needed, include space in your calendar for yourself, give yourself grace, and commit to the events that'll actually bring you joy (that holiday gathering you dread every year? It's okay to decline the invite 🙌).

"It's the most wonderful time of the year..."
That song has been stuck in my head all week. Because I watched a Christmas movie that played at. That and "Baby, It's Cold Outside" get stuck in my head every year, without fail, because of movies 🤦‍♀️

What kinds of movies and books do you lean toward during the holiday season? (Do you also get songs stuck in your head because of it?) I tend to watch rom-coms and read cozy mysteries a lot this time of year - because nothing says Merry Christmas like murder 🤣 - but I think... I'm craving holiday romance novels now too! 😱 Usually summer is my romance binge season. If you have any holiday romance recommendations (bonus points if they're books that are over a year old or movies that are on Netflix!) I'd love to hear them!

My recommendations: if you haven't read The Starless Sea yet you MUST!! It's a love story meets mystery meets fantasy meets legends and myths meets gamer geek meets bibliophilia meets.... it's very hard to summarize actually 😅
Also In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren because I love them. Not my favorite book of theirs (which would be Josh + Hazel's Guide to Not Dating) but a solid holiday read 📖
As for movies: you can't go wrong with Merry Christmas Charlie Brown, The Holidate, and Serendipity *swoon*.

And of course, any and all teas to accompany your cozy time! 😊🫖
