A tea for all the lovers of “bad” and broken characters out there, The Boy Who Had No Choice is a lapsang souchong blend reminiscent of every bad decision made due to severe pressure and deadly consequences. Take a sip of this smoky blend and feel the understanding of dark choices. The anti-hero knows they’re bad, or that’s what they believe anyway. Their actions and words are bad, but they have no choice. They’ll be punished or killed if they dare to let the light inside of them out for others to see, afraid their goodness will be denied after all the wrongs they’ve done to stay alive. But stick around. Sometimes these alleged villains will surprise you with a big, bold act of mercy or kindness – the way this tea surprises you with its subtle sweet notes of vanilla and spiced complexity of sarsaparilla.

You might enjoy this blend if you:

  • swoon over Draco Malfoy, the Darkling, Loki, or any other hurt bad boy character out there
  • like the concept of lapsang souchong but need that smokiness cut with something else
  • are bold, daring, and ready to stand your ground

Ingredients: assam, sarsaparilla, lapsang souchong, elder flowers, apples, vanilla flavoring

Honestly this is a tea that I wasn’t certain I would like. Lapsang can be intensely smokey and as a stand alone tea it’s often to intense for me. This however has become one of my new favorites! Dani has expertly cut the smoke with assam and created a mellower more well rounded cup. The finish is delightful with flavors of apple, vanilla, and sarsaparilla that also help so balance the Lapsang. This blend is really a must try in my opinion.
